Typically, I’m extremely nervous around guides. From my experiences they tend to focus more on my husband when we fish together. Ryan however, makes me feel at home when we are on the water and he’s just as helpful with me as he is with my husband. If you are looking for something new I would highly recommend booking a carp trip with Ryan. These trips have become my favorite and are a unique way to experience MT for an experienced angler. Overall, Ryan works hard, keeps the laughter flowing and is a blast to fish with.

Even the time he had to row into a cold headwind after a spring squall on the Madison that pushed us back upstream faster than the current was moving us downstream. He’s a very fishy guy and a superb boat handler. He doesn’t tell you to cast your flies six feet further, instead he moves the boat so your best cast is the right cast. He knows whether it is a good thing or a bad when the Yellowstone flow rate changes 300 CFS ."
